What’s been on the minds lately for a lot of locals is when Listowel’s newest plaza will be finished and new stores opening up.
Among the opening shops will be Starbucks managed by Keara Kuper.
Kuper is a Gowanstown native who has spent the last several months training up and alongside her team of local residents will next month be opening up the next coffee shop in town.
Assuming all work stays on pace, Starbucks is set to open up its doors on September 22nd.
Kuper says September 22nd is the unofficial opening date as the build has been pushed back before as early September was also a planned opening date.
Kuper says while Starbucks is a large corporate chain, they will still be heavily community involved.
“Starbucks really does like to participate in food drives and holiday drives. One of the biggest events is Coldest Night of the Year, Starbucks usually donates things like coffee and hot chocolate and the teams usually participate in the walk.” said Kuper.
Listowel Starbucks will not have any menu limitations upon opening aside from not offering delivery.
Also coming to the plaza on Mitchell Road South will be Taco Bell and Roc N’ Dukes pet supplies.
