St Marys Catholic School in Listowel has won the Steve Mavers Award for Anti-Racism Leadership.

This award celebrates an enduring legacy of Steve Mavers, a beloved friend of the LUSO Community and former Curator of Education at Museum London.

St Marys grade 7 and 8 students under the leadership of Ms. Denstedt produced a video centered on the theme “The Human Cost of Racism.”

Principal Paula Valcke says as school community leaders, the students and teacher demonstrate every day that they have the agency to shape the present and influence the future.

These video will be showcased on social media from the Huron Perth Catholic District School Board pages.
