The Listowel Memorial Hospital will be closing its emergency department temporarily from July 1st at 5pm to Saturday July 2nd at 7am.
The closure is a result of the hospital experiencing staffing shortages which includes nurses, physicians, laboratory, allied health and support staff.
Karl Ellis, President and CEO of the Listowel-Wingham Hospitals Alliance saying in a release they have to adjust services based on the number of available staff.
Nearby hospitals including Palmerston, Wingham, Stratford and Kitchener-Waterloo remain available.
