The Listowel Jr Legionnaires have been keeping busy for the last while who are right into the thick of their season.
While the Legionnaires did have a bit of a slower start, dropping their 1st game to Woodstock, they brushed off their early season bugs who preformed big coming off wins from previous weekends
Travis Bannerman, Assistant General Manager of the Legionnaires says he’s enjoyed the team chemistry they have and how they mesh together.
“Seeing the guys in and out every day getting along, everyone seems to really enjoy their time out on the ballpark at practice and games and everything.” said Bannerman
There’s still plenty of home action for fans to check out at the John Bell South Diamond, including their match against the Bryon Storm on July 9th, their 2nd last game of the regular season and as Bannerman says, it’ll be their Breast Cancer Awareness Night.
“Everyone is involved with someone that has cancer, everyone knows someone who is directly affected by cancer. We just want to raise more awareness and see if we can raise some money.”
Gametime for July 9th is at 2pm. Pink shirts and hats will be available for sale and everyone is encouraged to wear pink for the game.
