Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson is back as the province’s Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Thompson, former education minister and minister for government and consumer services was first given the role last year, June 2021 replacing longtime agriculture minister Ernie Hardeman.
This is now Lisa Thompson’s fourth term as MPP for the Huron-Bruce Riding.
Thompson received over 50 percent of the vote share in the riding.
Doug Ford led PC’s earned another majority government in the June 2 provincial election.
Thompson has also worked as the Manager of the Ontario Goat Cooperative, and was born and raised near Wingham in Huron County.
Thompson now resides on her farm near Teeswater, and proudly calls Bruce County home.
