Liberals Survive Another Confidence Vote

Liberals survive vote 180-146

The Liberals stay alive from another confidence vote in the House of Commons Wednesday afternoon.

The Conservatives put forth a vote to form a committee to look into the Liberals connection with the WE charity scandal. The Liberals decided to call it a confidence vote, threatening other parties to vote for it and bring down the government.

The Tories and Bloc voted together but NDP, Green and Independents stuck with the Liberals with the final tally 180-146.

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh said he didn’t want to give Trudeau the election he obviously wanted.
