LDSS Specalist High Skills Major Students Tackle Food Waste

30 of the Specialist High Skills Major Students from Listowel District Secondary School recently took part in learning more about food waste and how the municipality could minimize its amount waste going into the areas landfills.

Students met at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex who are all studying in various programs such as Agriculture, Business and Health and Wellness.

Tami Cressey, owner of Diana Sweets was among those who took part in speaking with students in how her restaurant minimizes their food waste.

Rick Elg from the municipality also spoke to students about what policies are currently in place to help reduce food waste as a whole.
