A benefit event will be held at Parkview Gardens in just a few weeks in support of the families affected by the Krotz Street fire earlier this month.

On January 7th a fire broke out at a home on Krotz Street with two families the Dwarika and Babcocks being affected.

Deb Ritchie who’s helping with the event says so far many have come in support of the families during their time of need, pointing towards Pastor Ralph Dwarika who has been a community leader for the town.

“he has been there for so many people in the community that I think people wanted to reach out and help in his time of need. He’s been there for so many of us. Not only is he a church leader but he’s a community leader.” said Ritchie.

The Krotz Street Families Benefit runs on February 4th from 1-5pm at Parkview Gardens.

Donations are still being accepted for the event.

Ritche says overall this will be a day of fun all in support of the families in need

“It’s just meant to be a fun afternoon and show our love and support and that we really care and we truly are a caring community.”
