The Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund has made their 198th donation of a defibrillator, this time in Atwood to the Lions Club with the park now open.
The defibrillator will help protect children and adults throughout the winter season.
The Dave Mounsey Fund donates defibrillators in the name of fallen soldiers, police, firefighters and EMS with this recent donation honouring District Deputy Chief Kenneth Rea of the North Perth Fire Department.
On March 17th 2011, Rea and fellow firefighter Raymond Walter both died while battling a blaze when they entered a burning building to search for anyone who might have been trapped when part of the building caved in.
This defibrillator donation is the 2nd in Rea’s memory.
