Junior Curling Championship coming to Stratford March 26th to April 1st

The event will be happened from Saturday, March 26th until Friday, April 1st. This is the third time in six years that the Stratford Club has hosted the event.

The Festival City is getting ready to welcome 144 curlers from across Canada for the upcoming Under 21 Canadian Curling Championship set to take place at the Stratford Country Club.

The event will be happened from Saturday, March 26th until Friday, April 1st.

Currently most teams have been named with just Ontario and Quebec remain the only ones not confirmed as they are in playdowns.

This is the third time in six years that the Stratford Club has hosted the event.

The Club is selling week passes for Curling Fans to check out the action at just $100. There are 4 draws per day for the first 2 days and then 3 and then 2 as they reach the finals. Day passes are $25 and draw passes are $10 until the final days they are $15.

The first weekend (March 26th and 27th) even features the bonus of a youth admission for free (under the age of 14) with the purchase of an adult pass.

Jessie Jacob, Co-Chair of the Under 21 Canadian Curling Champioship says the event is what gets Stratford ready for the festival season.

“We are at the end of March so it’s just a little bit of a kickstart for everybody especially with everything that’s gone on with Covid. This is agreat opportunity for hotels, restaurants, the downtown core to get see an influx of guests supporting the city.”
