January Home Invasions Arrest Made

 

Police have charged one person after a home invasion in Erin at the start of the year.

On January 1st at around 8pm, Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a home invasion at a First Avenue residence in Erin.

Around $350 worth of items was taken with one occupant receiving minor injuries.

On January 19th at around 6pm, OPP responded to the same address after it was reported a single suspect threatened the occupants with a baseball bat.

The suspect fled the scene with nothing being taken.

Investigators determined the suspect had also been involved with the earlier home invasion.

Police later were able to find and arrest the suspect.

As a result a 21 year old was charged with two counts of Robbery, two counts of Assault with a Weapon, two counts of Break and Enter and two counts of Disguise with Intent.

The accused will appear in Guelph court at a later date.
