During a recent council meeting, Centre Wellington heard from Guy Giorno.
Giorno is the integrity commissioner currently investigating councilor Steven VanLeeuwen to see if VanLeeuwen has breached council’s code of conduct for joining the “End the Lockdown Caucus.”
Giorno said he’s still investigating, interviewing and gathering details regarding VanLeeuwens actions could not be publicly shared.
“Until then I am not permitted to disclose the information I’ve collected or names of witnesses I’ve interviewed.” said Giorno
Giorno adding there is still more work to be done, such as finishing interviews.
“We’re in the middle of interviewing people who I will say are witnesses because they hold official positions and appear to have relevant information.”
It’s likely the investigation will wrap up in 10-14 days.
