Statistics Canada says the country’s annual inflation rate slowed to 6.3 per cent last month.

Stats Canada says the slowdown was offset by increases in mortgage interest costs, clothing and personal care supplies and equipment.

In November the annual inflation rate was 6.8 per cent.

Prices at the grocery store however are still driving up which saw prices up 11 per cent from the same time a year ago.

Stats Canada says the average inflation rate for 2022 was 6.8 per cent.
