Impaired Driver Collides with Home in Palmerston

Collision occurred on Main Street

On November 13th at around 7:30pm, Wellington County OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Main Street in Palmerston between a vehicle and a house.

The vehicle then left the scene before it was disabled on Queen Street shortly after. Officers located the vehicle and determined the driver was impaired and placed under arrest.

As a result a 24 year old of Cambridge has been charged with Operation While Impaired 80 Plus.

A 90 day license suspension was issued and vehicle impounded for 7 days. The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
