Impaired Driver Charged After Colliding Into a Home

A collision into a house has led to an impaired operation charge.

On January 22nd at around 11:25am, Huron County OPP were joined with Central Huron Fire and Huron County paramedics.

Emergency services arrived to find a single vehicle had collided with a family home on William Street South in Clinton causing considerable damage.

Investigation revealed the pick up truck was traveling westbound on Townsend Street and failed to stop at a posted stop sign, crossing over into William Street South over a curb and into the house.

Police were able to determine the driver had consumed alcohol and as a result the 29 year old has been charged with Operation while Impaired as well as with Careless Driving.

The accused will appear in Goderich court on March 27th.
