On January 7th at around 7:30pm, Wellington County OPP remained on Wellington Road 14 during a road closure from a collision involving a motor vehicle and hydro pole.
During this time an officer observed a sedan almost strike the closure sign before continuing driving erratically.
The officer conducted a traffic stop which resulting in the 62 year old being charged with Operation While Impaired and Driving with an Open Container of Liquor.
The accused will appear in Guelph court at a later date.
