Huron County OPP have charged a London resident after assaulting an officer in a RIDE Check in Huron East.
On January 19th at around 12:20am, an officer was conducting a RIDE Check at the intersection of Blyth Road and Brussels Line and while speaking with an SUV driver observed evidence of alcohol consumption.
The driver provided a breath sample resulting in a fail. The driver while resisting arrest kicked two officers and a cruiser.
The driver was eventually placed in the cruiser with both officers receiving minor injuries.
The 34 year old from London faces multiple charges including two counts of assaulting an officer, operation while impaired, utter threats and resisting a peace officer.
The accused will appear in Goderich court on March 6th.
