Huron County OPP have charged a Lucknow resident with impaired operation following a collision investigation in Ashfield Colborne Wawanosh.
At approximately 6:07pm on December 27th Huron OPP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision located on Donnybrook Line near Bruce Road 86.
Upon arrival police located a vehicle that had been driven off the road into a snow filled ditch.
Upon bein cleared by EMS the investigating officer spoke with the driver and become suspicious they may be impaired by a drug.
A Standard Field Sobriety Test was completed on the driver and the accused performed poorly. The accused was them placed under arrested and transported to the Tillsonburg OPP Detachment where he completed a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation.
This deemed the driver to be impaired by a drug.
A 51 year old male of Lucknow has been charged with operation while impaired. He has since been released and is scheduled to appear in a Goderich Court on March 8th.
