Ideal Supply out of Mississauga has been fined after a workplace injury in Listowel.
On the day of the incident a worker was taking items stored on industrial racking at an elevated height in the warehouse who while descending the ladder stepped off the rungs, falling four feet to the ground suffering injuries.
Investigation by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development found the worker was not given proper information, instruction or supervision regarding the safe use of ladders.
Ideal Supply was convicted on June 18th fined $70,000 as well as a 25 per cent victim fine surcharge.
