Huron Perth Public Health announced 36 cases of Covid-19 in the Region today. In Huron there were 3 in Huron East, 2 in ACW and 1 in Central Huron, Morris Turnberry and South Huron. In Perth there were 23 in North Perth, 4 in Stratford and 1 in West Perth and St. Marys.
The outbreak at Caressant Care Long Term Care and Retirement Home here in Listowel sits at 88 cases. 65 in residents and 23 in staff. Some residents there have now started to be decanted out to the Listowel-Wingham Hospital Alliance. They are temporarily moving the residents to hospital in order to better care for all residents and prevent further spread. 3 residents have passed away due to the outbreak.
The active outbreaks sit at 8 in Long Term Care and 2 in Retirement Homes.
Active cases in Huron Perth sit at 152.
Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health announced 8 new cases of Covid-19 in Wellington County. Active cases there sit at 94 with 5 in Hospital.
Ontario as a province reported 2655 new cases and 89 new deaths. 15 hundred and 98 are in hospital with just under 400 in the ICU.
