Due to the potential risk of Hepatitis A exposure to Huron-Perth residents, Huron-Perth Public Health is holding Hepatitis A vaccine clinics next week.
The outbreak is based on findings from the Public Health Agency of Canada of exposure of hepatitis A from frozen mangoes. While no cases have been reported in Ontario, public health is taking precautions as the recall does affect mangoes which were sold here.
The recalled products are:
Nature’s Touch Mangoes (frozen) – two kilograms, with a best before date of November 9, 2022
Compliments Mango Mania (frozen) – 600 grams, with best before dates of November 10, 2022 and December 18, 2022
Irresistibles Mango Chunks (frozen) – 600 grams, with a best before date of November 10, 2022
President’s Choice Mango Chunks (frozen) – 600 grams, with best before dates of November 6, 2022 and November 10, 2022.
The vaccine will be available for those who consumed the recalled products in the last 14 days.
The clinics will be held August 9th and 10th.
