With direction from Ontario Health, the Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance is postponing an amount of scheduled surgeries.
This move is to preserve critical care and human resource capacity due to increasing case of COVID-19 and widespread transmission across the province. Patients will be contacted directly from the surgeons office if their surgery has been canceled.
The healthcare alliance is hoping to return to a normal surgical capacity as soon as possible. If you did not receive a call from the surgeons office, you’re asked to arrive for your surgery as originally planned.
The healthcare alliance says it is still safe to receive care at any hospital site and should not delay seeking treatment if you need it.
