Effective immediately, a total fire ban is in place for all of Huron County.
The Huron County Fire Chiefs made the decision to declare the ban.
The total fire ban will strictly prohibit campfires and recreational fires, open air burning of any kinds, fireworks displays and use of outdoor fire appliances such as fireplaces and wood burning stoves.
The ban is in place due to extreme dryness of all vegetation and poor air quality in the area and will remain in effect until further notice.
