Huron County will be receiving a boost in getting broadband in under serviced areas with the help of a provincial and federal investment.
HuronTel and Tuckersmith are going to get funding to support areas, mostly in Ashfield- Colborne-Wawanosh, North Huron, Huron East and Central Huron.
Huron-Tel is expected to receive $4.5 million of federal and provincial dollars while Tuckersmith will see $10.5 million.
There is no set time period for when work would finish but with the help from SWIFT, their end of the project is expected to be complete by 2023.
