A nursery to finisher hog operation in Huron County has been hit with the Porcine Deltacoronovirus or PDCoV.
The update was given from Swine Health Ontario’s PED and PDCOV tracker.
PDCoV formerly known as Swine Deltacoronovrius (SDCv.)
The virus belongs to the same viral family as PED but tend to be less severe.
This is the first report of the virus in Ontario this year.
