Communities across Huron County are getting a boost from the province for emergency preparedness, fire protection and community events.
$610,807 is being put forward from Ontario’s Community Emergency Preparedness Grant, Fire Protection Grant, Mental Health Supports for Public Safety Personnel Program, Mobile Crisis Response Team Enhancement Grant and Experience Ontario Program.
MPP for Huron-Bruce Lisa Thompson says the investments will strengthen emergency preparedness, improve firefighter health and safety and support mental health initiatives for public safety personnel.
Morris-Turnberry, Central Huron, Howick, Huron East, and Huron County OPP are among those getting funding.
