As fall season looms, Huron County is highlighting a series of destinations for everyone to get out, support local and explore more on where their food comes from.
The Fall Farm Frolic runs September 19th, a free self guided event open the gates of seven farms and agricultural businesses in Huron County allowing residents to meet farmers, learn how food is grown and shop for local goods.
Various participating farms includes Weth Mushrooms, Glovers Family Farm & Pumpkin Patch, Maelstrom Winery and Malette Family Farm.
Tourism Officer, Rick Sickinger says this gives residents the chance to talk directly to farmers, discover food and agriculture products produced here and enjoy great arts and cultural experiences along the way.
