In the 2nd talk about the 2021 budget, a levy increase of 4.33% was proposed.
The increase of $1,895,927 brings the total proposed levy amounts to $45,671,115. To fund the budget, Huron County could see a tax increase of 3.16%, the pricetag for residents is an increase of $30 on a residential property valued at $208,000. For farmland the increase per $100,000 of property value would be $3.61.
Also brought up in the budget meeting was getting rid of the 30% tax reduction for vacant and excess land for industrial and commercial subclasses.
