There has been an out pour of need for pet owners locally.

The Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo & Stratford-Perth says they’re seeing a record breaking demand for services.

In the last two months the team has provided medical care for 120 animals in need, delivered more than $16,000 in essential veterinary services and vaccinations while also helping 1510 pets with supplies to families facing financial hardships.

CEO Victoria Baby says they are committed to ensuring no pet goes without the care they deserve but the growing demand highlights the urgent need for more resources and support.
