The Stratford-Perth and Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society is making an urgent appeal for those to adopt and foster.
With over 120 animals in their care at both centres and being near capacity the need for adoptions is at an all time high.
Victoria Baby, CEO of the Humane Society says on top of the animals in their care there are another 68 pets waiting for help.
In an effort to encourage adoptions, those looking for dogs, a promotion has started to reduce the adoption fees for select dogs who have been looking for a home for a while.
