The Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo & Stratford-Perth has launched its Better Together Capital Campaign with a goal to raise $6 million.
The campaign is aimed to expand and enhance the organizations facilities and meet the growing needs of the community.
With a recent rise of programs, services, volunteers and staff the humane society finds themselves in a need to expand and continue to provide essential services.
CEO Victoria Baby says the demand for their services is escalating rapidly, outpacing their current capacity.
The campaign has already received strong support with the City of Kitchener pledging $300,000 and the City of Waterloo adding $200,000 to the project.
