The Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo & Stratford Perth are making an urgent appeal campaign to raise funds for five puppies who were found abandoned in a small box in Kitchener.
The puppies are currently being fostered by staff members of the Humane Society.
The puppies were brought to the centre after a good Samaritan found them on Homer Watson Boulevard on the 401 highway ramp.
An exam found the puppies are between the ages of 6-8 weeks
The humane society estimates medical care and costs for the puppies to reach up to $8200 or more by the time they are ready for adoption.
The costs will include spaying and neutering, vaccinations, microchips, deworming and cost of care until they can find their new home.
Those who are able to donate can do so here.
