Huron Perth Public Health held a media update this afternoon.
The key topics discussed by HPPH Medical Officer of Heath Miriam Klassen included acceptable types of mask focusing on discouraging the plastic mingle type masks.
There are 39 active cases in Huron Perth with 4 added today from Perth East today and 1 from Stratford from Cedarcroft.
The session also provided an update on the Outbreak at Cedarcroft Place Retirement Home in Stratford.
27 of the 44 residents who contracted covid 19 have recovered. 11 have unfortunately passed away.
2 residents are recovering at the facility while 2 are in hospital.
All but 1 of the 19 staff that contracted covid have recovered. HPPH has done a 4th round of testing at the facility and the remaining 11 residents who hadn’t contracted the coronavirus previously again came back negative.
