The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance advised the community of the impact of the pandemic on all of the HPHA Teams across all 4 sites.

They say that all midwives, physicians and staff, regardless of where they work have been tirelessly supporting patients, their families, partners and one another during these uncertain times.

The Alliance currently has 30 members of it’s 1200 staff off work because of testing positive or being a close contact of a positive case.

The cases are currently spread across the entire organization but the re-assigning of staff to coverĀ  is what, as an example, led to the closure of the Emergency Department in Clinton as a result on Christmas Eve.
