More funding for hospitals across the region is being provided from a province wide $259 million investment.
The Stratford General Hospital will see more than $2.3 million in funding through Ontario’s Hospital On-Call Coverage program to support doctors working after hours.
The funding continues with previous agreements with the Ministry of Health and Ontario Medical Association to increase dedicated funding for physicians on call.
Nearby hospitals as well such as Groves Memorial will receive more than $1.2 million.
MPP Matthew Rae says this funding will allow hospitals to continue providing quality care 24/7.
