It’s another boost for St Mary’s Firefighters to get carbon monoxide alarms out to the community.
Hawkins Gignac Foundation has donated 50 alarms to protect homes in the community with the donation meaning for local families will have access to protection they need.
Working smoke alarms are required by law and at the start of this year, carbon monoxide alarms must be installed on every storey of the home and outside all sleeping areas if the home contains a fuel burning appliance, fireplace or attached garage.
