Harriston Robbery Investigation Goes Multijurisdictional

 

Wellington County OPP’s Major Crime Unit has extended its investigation of a bank robbery which took place in Harriston last Wednesday.

Investigation has revealed the vehicle used in the crime was a silver/grey 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.

The vehicle was reported stolen in Halton on June 21st and recovered in Mississauga of June 24th.

On June 22nd at around 3pm, OPP responded to the bank robbery on Elora Street South, it was reported three people with handguns entered the business, threatening staff and customers and stealing a quantity of currency and fleeing south on Elora Street.
