Harriston Long-Term Care Home Misses Deadline to Provide AC in Resident Rooms

A long-term care facility in Harriston was unable to meet the Ministry of Long-Term Care legislation that requires air condition in  all residents rooms passed in 2021.

The Caressant Care home is the only one of the eight in Wellington County to be non-compliant as of the June 22nd deadline.

They were notified of the requirement on April 1stThe home has 46 rooms currently occupied by 73 residents.

They also operate facilities in Arthur and Fergus with those two meeting the air conditioning requirement.

Across the Province the number of non-compliant facilities sits at 90.
