The Harriston Kinsmen held a ribbon cutting this past Friday, marking the official unvieling of the multi use sports pad in town.
Over the last year, the club has worked with the Town of Minto and getting a range of support from suppliers and contractors who donated labour, time and materials to make the pad a reality.
The pad just beside the Harriston Arena has already seen its fair share of use since having work done offering a spot for basketball and hockey.
Past President, Curt McDonald says it fills his heart with pride when his kids ask him if they can meet their friends at the pad to play on it adding this was a massive community collaboration fueled by the support of Kinsmen events.
