West Grey police have charged a man from Guelph after a violent domestic assault which took place at the Durham Conservation Area campground.
Police say on June 30th a victim suffered severe facial injuries after they were struck by a weapon and was then prevented from leaving or getting any medical attention from the accused. The victim was able to receive care after police were notified.
As a result of investigation with West Grey police and Guelph Police a 28 year old was arrested on Sunday and charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Forcible Confinement.
The accused was released on bail.
