Mapleton Mayor Gregg Davidson is pushing to have Wellington County study into automated speed enforcement.
Davidson, while speaking during a Wellington County council meeting says use of automated speed enforcement allows the issue of speeding in school zones and Community Safety zones to be better addressed.
Automated speed enforcement allows cameras to be set up and monitor speed and if a vehicle is found going well over the posted speed limit, an image is taken and stored to be reviewed by an officer.
Discussion will continue later at a future meeting on February 24th.
