GRCA Issues Flood Outlook

The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook on the watershed given the remnants of Hurricane Beryl sweeping across the area.

The coming showers throughout today and Thursday could see 50-60mm of rainfall but there is the possibility of isolated areas receiving over 100mm of rain.

GRCA reservoirs are at their normal operating level for this time of year and will be operated to manage runoff and reduce downstream flooding related to elevated river flows.

During this time however the public is encouraged to exercise extreme caution around all local waterways.

This message is expected to remain in effect until noon on Friday.
