The Grand River Conservation Authority is preparing to install warning booms or white buoys to warn paddlers, anglers and boaters to keep away from dams across the Grand River.
Officials say this one of the many protocols used by the conservation authority.
In a release, the GRCA says the hazards around dams can result in serious injury or death if the warnings are ignored.
The safety devices are being installed upstream on GRCA dams between April 20th and May 2nd.
