GRCA Conducting Tree Maintenance

Maintenance expected to remove around 1500 hazard trees

The Grand River Conservation Authority will be working on tree maintenance along the Elora Cataract Trailway over the course of the next six weeks which will result in closures of sections of the trail.

The first closure will start Thursday until December 17th between Gartshore Street in Fergus and Belwood Lake.

Closure updates will be provided from the GRCA website. Closure signs will also be posted on sections of the trail where work will be occurring.

Maintenance is expected to remove around 1500 hazard trees along the trail.

Where possible, trees removed will be chipped or left on the forest floor to form new habitat and enriched soil in the area.
