Talks continue to be made public between the provincial government and CUPE as strike action continues across the province.

Bill 28, the Keeping Students in Class Act passed which has since seen an uproar from CUPE and supporters as they arrived at the picket lines on Friday. Section 33, the Notwithstanding clause also remains in effect.

Premier Doug Ford spoke earlier this morning saying he wants to see kids back in the classroom and will bargain.

“Our government is willing to rescind legislation, we’re willing to rescind Section 33. But only if CUPE agrees to show a similar gesture by stopping their strike and letting our kids back into their classrooms.” said Ford.

CUPE will hold a conference later this morning. This story is still developing.
