A free program is being offered by Wellington County for women get into carpentry and residential installation.
This 33 week certificate program helps women gain hands on carpentry skills and exposure to residential plumbing and heat and AC installations.
The program is funded by the province with those eligible include women on low income, a resident of Ontario with a grade 12 diploma and available to attend a program full time on campus.
Those interested are required to attend an in person information session at the Conestoga College Skilled Trades Campus in Cambridge on May 13th.
The start date of the program is June 15th.
