Ontario Premier Doug Ford is inviting municipal leaders to a summit to discuss affordable housing.
The Premier is set to meet with Municipal Affairs Minister Steve Clark as well as mayors and regional chairs for large cities on December 16th.
Ford says this summit is work on various solutions and address the housing crisis in hopes for more families to become home owners.
Clark is also planning to hold a session on affordable housing with rural municipalities in January.
Ontario Real Estate Association CEO Tim Hudak says the summit is a great step towards tackling the issue of affordable housing and called for zoning bylaws to change and allow for more family style housing.
