Ontario Premier Doug Ford is telling school boards to stick to the province’s decision to drop the mask mandate.
Several school boards have said they would prefer to keep the mandate past the March 21st end date with some boards voting to seek permission from the government to extend mandates in their schools, though requests will be denied according to the Premier and Education Minister.
The Upper Grand District School Board came to a decision earlier last week they would not mandate masks beyond March 21st after consulting with parties on the board’s authority to mandate public health measures.
