The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook as warmer weather arrives and with expected elevated water levels.

A snow survey conducted on Monday measured around 50mm of snow water in the snowpack across most of the watershed and with around 15-20mm of rain on Tuesday, its added more to the snowpack.

Temperatures are expected to stay above 0 today and with more warm temperatures this week and more rain this will have increased runoff into local watercourses.

Municipal staff are being asked to monitor potential drainage problem areas where snow and ice may have covered catch basins with the public asked to use extreme caution near all local waterways.
