It was a momentous day yesterday in the Wellington-Dufferin-Grey region.
The area’s first local vaccination took place using the Pfizer vaccine. Sarah Ricci, program manger of Shelburne Long-Term-Care Home was the recipient.
The local health unit received 975 doses of the vaccine on Tuesday.
Ricci and four other staff at the same home received their shots yesterday with the remaining doses to be administered to the remaining staff at that facility at Thursday morning.
